N-Butyl Acetate
It is a colourless, transparent, insoluble in water liquid, which is obtained in the estrification of acetic acid with butyl alcohol. Butyl acetate is mainly used as a solvent in paints and lacquers industry, to dissolve nitrocellulose, chlorinated rubber, polystyrene, phenylic resins, oils, artificial shellacs, and pigments.
